Halloween show at Rafa's Lounge

Every time we get on that stage everything changes. The guys and myself on several occasions have brought this up to one another. If we're having bad days, or something isn't going well, when we step on that stage it changes everything. We leave everything at the door. We came to rock some music, and that's what we do. Love to hear when people feel the same way from hearing us play. It really puts things into perspective.

The other night, we had an incredible show at Rafa's Lounge in Echo Park for Halloween. We shared the night with some very close friends on stage: Big Joe Hurt Band, Cliff Beach Experience, Abby Posner, Sara Moini, and Marcela Carmona. Of course we all were in costume. Everyone looked cool, except for me. I looked ridiculous. So of course I was acting the fool. Basically my costume was a Buzz Lightyear outfit made for a 12 year old. I tore through that thing, made cardboard wings (which I'm proud of), and cut the leg off pantyhose to make the hoody he has on the movie. It was obscene. Of course the catch phrase, "to infinity and beyond" was perfect when putting down some drinks. I also remember Abby dressed up in what looked like a white robe, with black tights underneath. One tooth was painted blue. She was so excited and amused, I loved it. She went up to someone. He asked, "what are you?" With huge gestures she presented her costume, coaxing an answer from him. He was still baffled. Pointing at her mouth she said, "look at my tooth!!" To which he replied, "It's BLUE!!" which made her jump in down excited as all hell. Finally Abby and I shouted, "BLUETOOTH!!!" I guess you had to be there. Ruben was dressed with a legit russian hat and a trench coat. Once he got too hot onstage, underneath he had already planned a 1920's banker getup. Always planning ahead. By the end of the night he was wearing a witches hat, so I have no idea what that was about. Danny looked like he was an English guard! He looked awesome. Feather in his hat and everything. He was definitely living it up that night. Halloween has always been a good night.

It's late, can't seem to sleep, and I'm pretty sure I'm rambling. I should leave this blog as is.

Photo Shoot

We had our pro photo shoot the other day in Ventura! We had a ridiculous time. At first we were pretty rigid, until we brought some alcohol in from the liquor store across the street. Besides that, Marcos & Callie had some Canadian liquor. After two shots, and a beer or two I was camera ready. The rest of the time we spent cracking wise ass jokes.

Stephanie, the photographer, was amazing. Fun to work with, and when we got the pics back she made us look sharp! I'll be posting those pics soon. You can check out some of her work at her website: www.hoguephoto.com.

Doing our hair and make up was the talented Liz White. We are very blessed to be surrounded by so much talent!

Also in the video there were more shenanigans back in Ojai. We love that place.

My Brain Is Fried

To decompress at 2am I began to watch the Scott Pilgrim. Now, this may be the near coma-inducing stupor from last night talking, but I liked it! The editing and design on it was artistic, 'indie', and quirky. Just what I needed to distract me from the hours upon hours I had just spent perched at my computer. HTML suuuuuuucks. I commend those of you who are handy with it. Like with anything, it comes with practice, but my time would be better spent writing my music and making more content. Being broke has it's disadvantages. Ideally one would hire someone to hash it all out. Plus, that'd give someone a job. These days that's a good thing, right?

The good news is that the website is almost running on it's own now. I'm just waiting for the final okay from the rest of the bandmates and on our press pics we'll be taking to include in the web design. In the meantime if you want to check it out you can find it at www.noblecreatures.com.

The reason the website has been kicked into gear is because we have gotten the first round of tracks back for our upcoming album! They are officially in our possession. They originally were clocked strangely while being bouncing from tape to digital, so what that means is that when I played the files back home we sounded like chipmunks. That is all behind us now! The plan is to edit the tracks we've got, then head into the second studio to finish up all the guitar, vocal, and synth tracks. HUGE 'thanks' to Mark Cox and Wado for engineering the first tracks! For those of you who don't know we went to Mambo Studios in Long Beach, CA where Sublimes first two albums were recorded.

We're amped and we're on a mission. Keep a look out to reserve your copy of the new album (simultaneously help funding the project as well). We'll be setting up a kickstarter account soon! Meanwhile you'll catch us rocking out at Pasadena's Rose City Rock Music Festival, Topanga Days, and the Ojai Music Festival!

Black Valentine's

Noble Creatures have come together with colleagues out here in LA to form CTO Productions. Our second event is a twisted and sexy twist on Valentine's Day. It's named, Black Valentine's. Here's a promo for you. Beware, it's almost bawdy, but for a theme that's going to bring you a dominatrix host, burlesque dancers and an awareness of sexy to the event... you should come to expect it.
